I believe that it is necessary to tweak or change your program every 6 weeks to avoid reaching a plateau and to keep it fun and exciting. If you are doing something that you love then you will be successful.
Balance is key!
I promote a complete and total healthy lifestyle. The physical, mental, and emotional aspects of one's life work together. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Certified Personal Trainer, I have seen the powerful impact that have physical and mental health on one another. When a person is in great physical shape they tend to feel better, have more energy, and more confidence and self-esteem. Also, when a person is mentally prepared to improve their physical health they are much more likely to follow through with their program and achieve their results. It is important to consider the physical and mental challenges and obstacles that may impede your workout plan to make success achievable. I also believe that balanced fitness is crucial. Cardiovascular exercise, strength training, and flexibility training are all essential in giving you the balance you need to improve your fitness level, reduce susceptibility to injury, increase your metabolic rate, improve bone density, and promote weight loss and maintenance.
